When do we start cosmetology therapy for scars?
- Optimal start time:
◦ 3 to 6 weeks after surgery, when:- The wound is completely closed
- No scabs, secretions or pain
- The scar is stable, but still “active” — pink or pinkish (optimal window for the remodeling stage)
- For chronic scars:
